Summary

In this chapter, we created a presentation by setting up a document using the web preset. This preset uses pixels for measurement units and RGB as the document color space. The document dimensions were set to 1920 px by 1080 px. We explored the completed design. A nine-unit rule-of-thirds grid system was put in place. We imported multiple images into the presentation and fit them to their frames. We then typed headline copy directly into a frame and changed its fill and stroke properties. Type was imported from Microsoft Word and formatted using paragraph styles. A bullet list was included. An Excel table was imported and placed into the presentation. The table was formatted to cater for header rows, cell inset spacing, stroke properties, and alternating fills. A text wrap was applied to ensure the table flowed correctly around graphic elements in its proximity.
