Verification

There were two changes made to the topology – the addition of SRLG to the P7 router and the activation of Global Weighted SRLG protection on the P2 router, which are verified next.

Verify P7 advertises SRLG as TLV 238

The following output confirms that TLV 238 contains the SRLG information in the IS-IS LSPDU. It is important to note that this differs from TLV 138 SRLG, which is utilized by RSVP-TE and the legacy mode of ASLA but is outside the scope of this discussion:

RP/0/RP0/CPU0:P2#show isis database verbose internal P7 | utility egrep -A9 code:238
  TLV code:238 length:26
    Application Specific SRLG: P3.00
      L flag: 0, SA-Length 1, UDA-Length 1
      Standard Applications: 0x20 LFA
      User Defined Applications: 0x20 LFA
      Sub-TLV Length: 10
