SASE Self
Self-managed, meaning management by the end user organization of a SASE framework-based solution is a fool's errand. Put simply, SASE is one of the few skills within IT work where the do it yourself approach can cost exponentially more than the outsourced model. SASE services may include between 1 and 100 different services that require perpetual education with experience at scale. This may be the first technology in 60 years that 90% of all organizations will need to outsource to a managed services provider.
Consuming a single SASE service starts in the same way as acquiring a new firewall vendor. If an organization pivots from one brand firewall to another, the education process is simple.
