Menu and SEO configuration

We mentioned earlier in this chapter that menus are important to improve the SEO of your website.

One of the most useful fields is Alias, which is used in the formation of the URL structure of the website.

Let’s now discover the options offered by the Metadata tab, displayed in Figure 5.14:

  • Meta Description: Allows you to specify the description meta tag for the page. You can write up to 160 characters in the field.
  • Robots: Allows you to specify the rules for the search engine indexing bots (index, follow / noindex, follow / index, nofollow / noindex, nofollow).
