Forward Future
The future will see an explosion in the market of the number of services that become part of the SASE ecosystem. At the time of writing, dozens of services have been classified as SASE across many different service providers, software developers, and system integrators. SASE should be considered synonymous with any security product or service and most network services going forward. The key to effective SASE remains integration to allow each service to communicate and mitigate issues created across an ecosystem.
An API backbone solution is a key component to reducing the amount of effort and time required to integrate each new service as soon as it is subscribed to by any part of an organization. Integration that takes longer than 1 day will become unacceptable to any organization, and real-time integration within seconds of subscription will become the new normal pace of integration.
