Why do we need XAI?
We have seen various technical reasons why we need XAI. All of them are very valid and extremely important. However, there are others that we should consider:
- Human readability: Since AI permeates every aspect of our society, it is not surprising that it is extensively used for decision-making. However, our world is becoming increasingly more complex. With the rise in Internet of Things (IoT) devices, where everything is connected to the internet, we are in a position to measure everything much more accurately than was practically possible a few years back. Of course, this raises a new problem: all the data that’s harvested cannot be physically processed manually. It’s simply impossible.
