Technical requirements
To work with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, it is necessary to have an environment with one of the supported licenses. The topics covered in this chapter may require some of the applications of any particular Dynamics 365 application.
The following are required for this chapter:
- Any Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement license (any of the available ones) with administrator permissions in an environment
- A supported browser

In this chapter, we will refer to Power Automate and its components. It is therefore important to quickly review the most basic concepts of cloud flows:
- Trigger: A trigger represents the event that states a cloud flow. There are three categories of triggers that define the cloud flow types: instant (manually triggered), automated (event-based), and scheduled.
- Action: An action represents each automation that could happen during a cloud flow execution. Actions could happen in another system, could be calculations...
