Relationships – connecting everything

All the previous tables we’ve talked about are connected through relationships. A contact can be employed and connected to one account, and an account can have several contacts employed and associated with it. One contact can be connected with many events, and all the events will have several contacts related to them. Dataverse is your relational database and has every possible relationship available. Let’s take a closer look at the different types of relationships you can find in Dataverse.

One-to-many or many-to-one (1:N/N:1)

One-to-many and many-to-one are two sides of the same relationship. It’s when one row can be connected to just one other row, but the other row can be connected to several rows from the same table. One contact can only be connected to one account, but on the account row, we can have many contacts connected to it, as shown in Figure 2.18:
