Throughout this overview chapter, you have learned how the cloud can be a beneficial approach or addition to your geospatial environment. The intent of this chapter is to outline key concepts that will help you be successful in creating a technical landscape in AWS for geospatial analytics. We’ve covered high-level technologies that will be further explained with examples later in this book. In Chapter 2, Quality and Temporal Geospatial Data Concepts, we will finish up Part 1 with a deeper look into the importance of high-quality geospatial data over time. More specifically, we will explain how the AWS cloud removes barriers to working with the richest, most complete geospatial datasets.
