Practical relevance to PAD

The actions provided under PAD are not unique to PAD, other than launching a local application and controlling it. All APIs called by these actions are available in the cloud and, therefore, available to any application.

The reason we see these actions in PAD as well is that it gives us direct access within the context of UI flows without the need to add more cloud flows or other technologies. This allows us to build some intelligence into our UI flows. In selected scenarios, these actions can certainly make sense, but typically, this functionality will be used primarily in cloud scenarios. However, in cases where the content of an image is to be determined within PAD or the mood in an email is to be determined, the availability of these actions is, of course, very helpful.
