IP telephony security and best practices
In my experience, the IP telephony VoIP network is one of the most vulnerable networks as network administrators usually do not put much effort into this subnet or VLAN. Hence, attackers perform lateral movements, especially by compromising the VoIP servers, because usually domain admin credentials are found on these servers. So, securing the IP telephony network is very important and is divided into four major areas, which are as follows:
