Describing card interactions

In this section, we will introduce the card-level interactions that are available to users to filter and change visuals on the fly. We will work through exercises on how users can interact with cards without being a card designer. These card interactions are accessed via the card details page. Let's walk through a quick overview of the features, as shown in Figure 9.1:

Here is a brief description of each of these features:

• Date Range: This shows the toolbar for managing the date range and grain on the charts.
• Hide/Show Filter Bar: This toggles the card filter bar.
• Annotate: This captures a comment about a specific date on the chart and saves the comment with the card. It is helpful to capture significant events for context.
• Change Chart Type: This shows a palette of possible alternative chart types for the data.
