To get the most out of this book
This book requires use of a Domo instance. You can obtain a free trial of Domo using a sign-up page at https://www.domo.com/start/free. You will need access to a machine that you have administrative rights to and can download files and execute install programs. To complete some exercises, you will need to install or have access to Postgres and Python3. We walk through how to get these environments setup. As a few of the features covered are paid features, establishing a relationship with Domo Sales is advised to gain access.
If you are using the digital version of this book, we advise you to type the code yourself or access the code from the book's GitHub repository (a link is available in the next section). Doing so will help you avoid any potential errors related to the copying and pasting of code.
Finally, to get the most out of this book, you should have a basic understanding of Domo, GitHub, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and Python. Visual Studio Code is recommended for code editing.
