AWS Backup

AWS Backup is designed to offer a simple and cost-effective solution to back up your data across the AWS ecosystem, including Amazon EC2 instances, EBS volumes, RDS databases, DynamoDB tables, EFS file systems, and more. It automates backup processes, enabling businesses to meet their backup requirements without the need for custom scripts or manual processes. AWS Backup is also useful to ensure that your backup policies are being kept. If you legally require customer data to be held for five years, you can use AWS Backup to enforce that rule across all of your AWS services. The main AWS Backup features are as follows:

  • Automated backup schedules: AWS Backup allows you to define backup policies, known as backup plans, that automate the backup process based on schedules and retention rules. This ensures that your data is backed up regularly without manual intervention.
