Chapter 16: Using Domo Machine Learning
Machine learning (ML) is everywhere these days and businesses that aren't marshaling their data with ML algorithms may not be able to compete effectively in a machine-optimized world. Democratizing ML – putting the power of ML into non-data scientists' hands – is what Domo's AutoML feature does. Domo partnered with Amazon Web Services and their SageMaker Autopilot product to bring this capability to Domo platform users in a turnkey way. Essentially, a Domo dataset is processed through SageMaker Autopilot with ease. This feature trains hundreds of potential ML models against a Domo dataset and determines the best model for predicting a chosen variable. The best model can be deployed in a Magic ETL dataflow using the AutoML Inference tile, which adapts to new incoming data and generates the value prediction from the model.
