UX Design with big data
Let's start this chapter by explaining the meaning of big data. By the name itself, you can tell that we are talking about really big data—data that can't be processed using traditional methods.
It usually starts with a small amount of data, data we collected from different sources; but then we start storing a large amount of it, and exceed storage volumes in terabytes, petabytes, or even the exabytes. Information inside this data can be structured or unstructured, and this large volume of data is known as big data.
So, with all this data on our hands, by using it in the right way, we can create much better designs and provide a more improved user experience to our users.
UX can be a bridge between big data and the users, and by showing our users the right data, we improve the product itself.
