Designing social covers for Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
When we talk about social media covers, we are faced with a great opportunity: that of making a great impression right away. In fact, your profile image, combined with your social media cover, is like a business card that you can use to convey a message to a viewer of your profile.

A social media cover that truly works is one that captures visitors’ attention and encourages them to undertake an action, such as visiting your website, signing up for your newsletter, or purchasing your products or services.
However, covers are not so simple to create, as each social network has its own precise dimensions and cropping margins, which in turn can vary depending on the device used to view the cover. The following figure shows the measurements and their safety margins:
