Paying bills is super easy
Paying bills in Xero is easy, whether you are using an app, writing a check, or using your credit card. Let’s face it – how many of us actually write checks these days? I see it happening less and less.

The quick way to mark a bill as paid in Xero is to go directly from the bill screen. At the bottom of the screen, you will fill in the following fields:
- Amount Paid
- Date Paid
- Paid From
If you are planning on writing a check, ensure you mark the Pay by check checkbox, and then click Add Payment. You can see all this in Figure 8.13.

On the Pay by Check screen (Figure 8.14), you can enter the check number along with a memo. When completed, click Save & Print PDF. If you have a check stock, you can then print the PDF on it. I recommend you use a complete blank check stock and use the New...
