Process inputs and outputs
Configuration management inputs and outputs are created when a new, modified, or retired CI is identified. The following list identifies many of the inputs and outputs for configuration management, but it doesn’t include all of them:
- A service request to move, add, or change a CI
- Request for change (RFC) documents the actions involved to move, add, or change a CI
- Updates to RFCs
- Audit reports
- Feedback from other processes
Configuration management outputs:
- Completed updates from RFCs
- New or updated CI information
- Visual representations of the structure of CIs
- Audit findings
- Information provided to other processes
- Management information
