Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement with Custom Embedded Applications
With Power Platform, we can extend Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications by creating canvas app components to be embedded in the applications. This is thanks to the convergence strategy that Microsoft has put forward, in which little by little, canvas apps and model-driven apps have started to share components between them.
In this chapter, we will focus on the different ways we have to enable a canvas app experience from within a Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement application. You will learn how to create these applications from scratch and when they apply, and how to identify when an embedded canvas app is best and when a custom page is best. Finally, we will discuss some scenarios of real implementations in which these types of components were chosen to solve real-life requirements.
