Objective
The objective of this lab is to investigate a scenario where TI-LFA provides a backup path through two additional segments, encoded as labels in the backup path label stack.
This is accomplished by the following tasks:
- Increasing the metric on the
P8–P4
link from10
to100
, which breaks the overlap between the extended P-Space of theP2
router and the Q-Space of thePE5
router. - Verifying whether a double-segment TI-LFA backup path is provided and installed in the RIB, FIB, and LFIB.
Figure 8.1 shows the state of the topology to explore whether TI-LFA can offer a backup path or not.
