Verifying backup path traceroute

The essential components necessary for conducting the nil-fec traceroute are derived from the previously mentioned RIB, FIB, or LFIB outputs and are as follows:

• Label stack (top to bottom): 16008, 16005
• Outgoing interface: GigabitEthernet0/0/0/1 toward P6
• Next-hop IP address of outgoing interface: 26.0.0.6 to P6

Using these components together in the traceroute nil-fec command on router P2, as shown next, validates the availability of the single-segment TI-LFA backup path in the network:
