Summary
In this chapter, we picked up from where the data is acquired and introduced how the data is stored and accessed. The storage architecture and the physical storage approach were discussed. We also introduced the Domo DataSet object and walked through numerous data catalog and dictionary features, and actions to create, manage, secure, profile, monitor, and alert on the data. You are now empowered to populate data storage at a massive scale, which is essentially a query-optimized data warehouse. Auto-populated metadata and a data dictionary are included, all without ever having to create a schema or optimize a physical database structure. Wow, that's a game changer!
In the next chapter, we will go through the data sculpting tools available to transform and blend data in Domo.
