Summary
In this chapter, we have analyzed the different options we have for utilizing canvas apps as part of a Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement application. We identified the options we have and the most common use cases that each of these solves. We reviewed the particularities of custom pages when interacting with model-driven apps in detail. On the other hand, we also analyzed the ModelDrivenFromIntegration control that allows us to take the data from the registry in which the embedded canvas app is located, as well as the actions that we can execute from the canvas app on the model-driven app.
In the next chapter, we will go into the Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement extension capabilities that Power Automate offers us when empowering the user. We will analyze some of the most common use cases in which we can benefit from Power Automate in the context of Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications.
