Substance Designer 2D and 3D views
There are two views inside Adobe Substance 3D Designer, 2D VIEW and 3D VIEW. Both views are used to observe and test your graphs, so let us examine them in detail.
2D VIEW
The simplest previewing tool is 2D VIEW. It strongly integrates with the graph: double-clicking on any node in the GRAPH view will show the visual result in 2D VIEW.
One of the primary panels of Designer’s user interface is 2D VIEW. Its primary goals are as follows:
- Displaying information produced by a certain node or passing through a designated node connection
- Resources for bitmap and vector graphics display
- Displaying further details about the data it presently contains, including color channels or precise color values
- Adjusting GIZMO settings
The 2D view automatically refreshes to reflect changes to a shown picture or value in order to keep up with the most recent condition of the data.
