Master project
A master project combines several related projects into one comprehensive view. It will help you do the following:
- See all projects together and understand their dependencies
- Simplify reporting and tracking
- Manage multiple smaller projects in one larger project
Here’s an example of using a master project. A software company is developing a new application with several modules, each managed as a separate project. By using a master project, the manager can track all modules in one master file, allowing you to manage dependencies and ensure that deadlines are met.
Creating a master project
Let’s now create a master project:
- Create a new project by selecting File | New | Blank Project.
- Save the file as a new file by selecting File | Save As, give it an appropriate name, such as
