SEO is probably the most overrated term in all digital marketing. Don't get me wrong; it's highly important. The percentages may vary by sector and by the marketing strategy followed, but still, on average, you can expect that at least more than a quarter and up to 50 percent of all your website traffic will come from the most popular search engines. Many years ago, you could have an online marketing strategy where the focus was on SEO. The results would be excellent, especially if that industry wasn't that aggressive in the digital space. But nowadays, that's no longer true. This misconception is so common that, usually, the first thing you hear from your customer's mouth is, "Your focus will be SEO, right? I want to be the first result in Google for my keywords!". Business owners are very cost-sensitive, and right from the beginning SEO was associated with free traffic.
