Applying bitmap textures in Adobe Substance 3D Painter
Previously, you learned the methods to apply planar masks and in this section, we will learn to apply bitmap textures using Base color. The bitmap textures are colorful images that can be used as texture maps on any mesh, for example, red floral pattern on sofa and so on. So, let us start the bitmap texture application:
- Rotate the television so that you can see its back and select TV_Back_Casing from TEXTURE SET LIST. Go to the LAYERS panel and click on Add fill layer to create a new layer and rename the layer

- Keep the Servlet Map layer selected, go to the PROPERTIES - FILL panel, click on Base color uniform color, type
servlet
in the RESOURCES pop-up menu search field, and the servlet bitmap texture that we imported in the previous chapters will appear.
